The Area
The Groes is perfectly situated for exploring North Wales and its dramatic coastline and mountain ranges, and is just a few minutes’ drive from Conwy the World Heritage Site, which embraces four of Edward I’s magnificent fortified towns.
A true jewel in North Wales’ crown. The town’s setting is idyllic – with its bustling quay and views across the beautiful Conwy Estuary, framed by the brooding mountains of Snowdonia.
The Groes is easily reached from the A55 Expressway, which runs along the Northern coastline of Wales. From Conwy Castle take the B5106 towards Trefriw, passing under the double arches of the town walls. The Groes Inn is a little over two miles on the right.
