Dining

In 2009 we were proud to be named The Good Pub Guides British Inn of the Year and Wales Dining Pub of the Year. We also have an AA rosette for food.

Diners at The Groes Inn have a wealth of choice: they can choose between our dining room, our bar menu, and our famous chalkboard of specials depending on their mood and requirements. All offer top quality food with a bias towards locally sourced, seasonal ingredients in an atmosphere that brings the best of the old together with the best of the new.

Our Head Chef insists that fresh ingredients are the heart of good cooking. Welsh lamb from the Conwy Valley, pheasant and game from nearby estates, fine Welsh beef, farm cured hams and poultry are all regulars on The Groes Inn's menu.

For lovers of fish and seafood, there is an abundance of local delights: Conwy crab and plaice, wild salmon and oysters and mussels from the waters around Anglesey and Conwy.

Service comes with a smile as well as style, so that guests feel relaxed and can enjoy the food and atmosphere, whether they are dining formally or in a more informal setting.

Food is served in our bar and dining room from-

12pm until 2pm and from 6.30pm until 9pm each day.

Bookings are generally not required in the bar, however please let us know if you have any special requirements or a large party for dining.

Bookings are welcome and recommended in our dining room for evenings and Sunday lunchtimes.

Please note that this is a sample only, our menu changes often and we also have a daily specials board which changes each day.
